Don’t ever mistake
my silence for ignorance,
my calmness of acceptance,
or my kindness for weakness.”

To me, silence is that quiet time on a Sunday morning when we have no place to go and I can wake up early before the sunrise, make a cup of coffee, retire to the front of the house where I can sit in both solitude and silence watching the day begin. No traffic, no noisy trash trucks, no lawnmowers – just me and my cup of coffee.
Now that is silence!
I long for that kind of silence, but I only notice it when my mind is silent too.
‘Sounds’ delightful!
Great choice of quote!
Hey Irwin, Great post. I have been lost in a sea of email with new post, I was sinking, but now I have changed my schedule. And in going through my emails, I discovered your post – a bit delayed. I really hope i will be able to read and keep in touch with all better now that I have reduced my posting schedule.
Ahhh – I am in harmony with your Sunday morning ritual of silence,…. what bliss.
I also love this quote : coincidentally i am reading it for the second time today

I love this quote – it really sums up a lot and boy I feel like saying that out a load to a few …. But of course one does not – cause it is not worth it.
Great post and sorry so late in commenting
I hope you are well
