It has been eleven years since Florida has had a major hurricane.
The mere thought of another touching down sends shivers up and down my spine.
For the moment we are safe and sound in a secure building approximately 50 miles from home.
Tomorrow we head back to our own home where hopefully the worst we will have is heavy rain and the occasional tornado.
Our thoughts and prayers go out though to those in the panhandle area of Florida as they will suffer Hermine’s wrath the most.
