Happy New Year!

Well, here we are – soon ready to say goodbye to 2014 and hello to 2015. Wow the beginning of our fifteenth year in the 21st century! If that doesn’t make one feel old, I don’t know what will.

We are still watching the many Christmas movies recorded over the past ten days or so but are rapidly beginning to think that we will run out of time to see all of them before they disappear from our recording medium.

Now that we are starting a new year, I plan on spending more time on my writing and less time in front of the television set. We have so much to be thankful for not to mention so much to look forward to. Hopefully I will finally begin to follow my dreams of writing something every day be it here on this blog or in my own personal journal that I have kept for years.

We want to wish every one of our friends in cyber space a very happy new year and hopefully one full of positive occurrences. I don’t know about you but we had our share of disappointments in 2014 and so, if any are lurking around to rear their ugly head in 2015, we hope they are few and far in-between.

May the year 2015 fill your days with love, family, friendship, unforgettable memories and in doing so, provide you with as jubilant a world around you as is humanly possible. Hopefully the New Year will provide you with only the load you are capable of handling and the strength, perseverance and attitude to see it through.

Best wishes always,

Irwin and Dolly

About iglengel

Welcome to my blog: I retired in September of 1996 after twenty-five years as an Underwriting Manager (and one year with a smaller insurance company) and have written blog postings on the website Retirement-online.com prior to setting up this Word Press free site. Having retired almost twenty years ago I have experienced my own retirement transition. I survived and you will too. Oddly enough, now that I have more time, I am discovering various things about myself that I would not have imagined myself doing in retirement. Why does it take so long for, we as individuals, to stop and think about ME!? Join me as I share with you some of the shenanigans we have been up to since retiring. Retirement is and can be a whole lot of fun. Welcome to my site – remember – retirement is not the destination we are seeking – it is the journey! I encourage you to visit often, provide comments, ask questions and add your own insights. We are all on this journey together.
